The series depicts an African way of life, particularly cultures, beliefs, traditions and superstitions, common in the Zambian community.

What A Life is a drama series brings out the day-to-day happenings within the Zambian communities. It also attempts to offer solutions as a way of giving hope to those who may have or are yet to experience such hardships or miseries in life.

To avoid monotony and boredom, the show does not have a permanent cast. Instead, it has an ensemble cast along with many recurring guest stars and it is grouped in short stories.

For instance, episodes one to four focussed on a seasoned jailbird Yeyeye. He finds life so unbearable out of prison and finds all ways and means of getting back to jail.

Then episodes five to thirteen was about a young couple Mr. & Mrs Halubono who face the influence of childbearing and barrenness in relation to traditional beliefs.

The episodes generally depict the many hardships faced by Zambian or Africans in terms of economic, culture, tradition and many others. It also features stories on wills, inheritance, property grabbing which largely portrays greed and the ignorance of the law on the part of those affected.

What A Life airs on One Zed Tv every Monday to Wednesday at 20h30.
