Born Danny Ngulube March 13, 1989 in Ndola, Sobre is a Music artist, actor, song writer, poet as well as a TV and radio host. He enjoys swimming, hanging out with friends, surfing the net, watching movies, singing, listening to music and traveling.

Early life

Sobre's lost his mother when he was four years old and was raised by his father and step mother who already had grown children. Growing up with many siblings and having to adjudt to a new family setting when his stepmother also passed on in 2000 and his dad remarried, Sobre found solace in music.

The Music bug bites

Under the influences of the likes of 2 Pac Shakur, Eminem, Dr Dre and DMX among others Rap seemed to be the obvious choice for him. He quickly became the go-to emcee at school events and gathered a healthy crowd during lunch breaks.

In 2010, Sobre was signed to a record label called So Good Entertainment where he realised his Dancehall and made the switch from Rap. In 2014, he got saved and begun to do Gospel Dancehall.

Changing lanes

"I was in a club, drinking my head off when I suddenly felt cold, like the weather had changed. A voice spoke to me saying I don't belong there. I ran out of the club straight home and began to pray. I gave my life to God and my life has never been the same again," he said.

Life was never the same as deejays didn't want to play his music anymore because it was now Gospel, fans had to start from scratch and the transition of language and lyrics had to switch. It was really rough because even till todate, Dancehall is not as popular in the country in a country and Sobre is the only Gospel Dancehall artist recognised at his level which is a challenge.

The Dancehall artist has been touring Zambia and other countries like Malawi and Uganda ever since his hit single called "Party Animal" featuring Mag44, Pompi and Abel Chungu. The road hasn't been easy but its surely promising with the way doors are slowly but surely opening for him. His latest single "Piki Piki" has taken the region by storm and is all the buzz in Music circles.

"When I write my songs, I mean every word therefore when I get on stage it's the greatest moment of my life because then I have that one opportunity to express myself to people live. I am naturally shy and quiet but when it comes to my music a different side of me comes out."

The launch episode will be flames
